In which Chad rambles on about sketches...

Hey everyone,

Let's start this thing. My name is Chad Fidler, I've been a computer colorist for comics for the last 8 years and an aspiring artist all my life. Recently, at the insistence of John, my partner in crime here and my wife, I'm trying to pick the pencil/paintbrush back up again and start creating for myself.

So here are a couple of pages out of my sketchbook. It's all pretty random. The bear and the guy with the patch on the first page were inspired by Carnivalé... the kid staring at the deep sea fish was actually inspired by a kid sitting next to us at a restaurant that couldn't stop playing his gameboy, even for dinner. And it had this creepy light on it, so it looked like he was staring at one of those Angler fish.

Anyway, have a look and drop some comments to tell me how much I suck and should stick to coloring other people's art.
